Car history: |
Numbers matching 1968 Corvette 427 Tripower 4 speed vette. I found this car stored in Atlanta several years ago. It had not been on the road since 1983. I have spent more than 45.000.00 on this car making sure that it was restored exactly per NCRS standards. Every nut and bolt has been replaced and restored. I have spared no expense or time. The drive train and rails, suspension, exhaust, fuel system is finished. The rails were stripped bare and painted, stenciled, marked, exactly as per factory. Careful photos documented each step as well as before the car was disassembled. The engine has been professionally rebuilt per factory spec. The tri-power setup was sent to Holley to be restored to new condition. The car has been cranked and tuned...ready to go. Every single line, hose, screw and bolt is perfect. The body is mounted back on the completed rails and drivetrain. The body was stripped and gelcoated prior to primer as per factory. The body is ready for blocking and paint. The instruments were all professionally rebuilt and restored by Corvette Clocks by Roger in Tennessee. All stainless and chrome have been professionally restored and are wrapped up ready for installation. This was a very rare car that was ordered for performance.. no power steering, no air but did have the power brakes which are completed except for putting on the restored and rebuilt master cylinder. This car had the rare transistorized ignition. This car is an easy finish job 75 percent of the money has already been spent. It is well on its way to being a Bloomington gold car. It should be easily a $80,000.00 vette. EVERY SINGLE NUMBER ON THIS CAR IS CORRECT...ENGINE, HEADS, TRANSMISSION, REAR END, CARBS. As I restored this car I came to suspect this car was a Motion car. It had many of the characteristics of one of Mr. Rosen cars. I was so sure that I paid Mr. Rosen for his search. The search did not yield any documentation but the case and file remains open if any additional information becomes available. Mr Rosen's associates felt the car had a strong case thus the pictures of the car and history was forwarded to him. Color codes from the owner. Built date is H21. February 3, 2010. |
